This light, this subtle shimmer, the eternal gentle crunch of fine sand in your ears. The desert has always captivated and fascinated me. When the air takes your breath away in the salt desert of Chott el Djerid, when the colors of the sand mutate and change, when you see a caravan moving on the horizon and the palm trees of the longed-for oasis beckoning you, then it is the mirage you have been waiting for so long.
